19 of the Best Books of 2021

A bookworm is happiest when they’re surrounded by books — both old and new. Undoubtedly, 2021 was a great year for both fiction and nonfiction, with bestsellers like Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters and Second Place by Rachel Cusk. Whether you read memoirs or young-adult (YA) novels, 2021 was a fantastic year for book lovers. While we can’t squeeze in all of our favorites from 2021, we’ve rounded up a stellar sampling of must-reads. Here’s some of the year’s best books.
“Crying in H Mart: A Memoir” by Michelle Zauner

In her profound memoir Crying in H Mart , Michelle Zauner shares an unflinching view of growing up as a Korean American person — all while reflecting on losing her mother to terminal cancer. Author Dani Shapiro notes that the Japanese Breakfast musician “has created a gripping, sensuous portrait of an indelible mother-daughter bond that hits all the notes: love, friction, loyalty, grief.”
“The Prophets” by Robert Jones, Jr.

In Robert Jones, Jr.’s lyrical debut novel, The Prophets , Isaiah and Samuel are two enslaved young men who find refuge in each other — and their love becomes both sustaining and heroic in the face of a vicious world. Entertainment Weekly writes that “While The Prophets’ dreamy realism recalls the work of Toni Morrison… Its penetrating focus on social dynamics stands out more singularly.” Now that’s a compliment.
“The Hill We Climb” by Amanda Gorman

At President Joe Biden’s inauguration, Amanda Gorman read her electrifying poem, “ The Hill We Climb .” Since then, it has been praised for its call for unity and healing. Vogue captures the feeling of reading the poem well, calling it “deeply rousing and uplifting.”
“Beautiful World, Where Are You” by Sally Rooney

New York Times bestselling author Sally Rooney has returned with a sharp, romantic drama, Beautiful World, Where Are You . Two separate relationships are in chaos, threatening to ruin friendships. Vogue declares that the author has “invented a sensibility entirely of her own: Sunny and sharp.”
“Somebody’s Daughter: A Memoir” by Ashley C. Ford

Ashley C. Ford’s coming-of-age memoir, Somebody’s Daughter , centers on her childhood. Ford, a Black girl who grew up poor in Indiana, recounts how her family was fragmented by her father’s incarceration. With rich, unflinching writing, Ford has penned a debut for the ages. The memoir’s publisher perhaps puts the core of the book best, noting that Ford “embarks on a powerful journey to find the threads between who she is and what she was born into, and the complicated familial love that often binds them.”
“Last Night at the Telegraph Club” by Malinda Lo

Everyone remembers their first all-consuming love — and for Lily Hu, the teenage protagonist of Malinda Lo’s queer YA novel, that love is Kathleen Miller. Set in the 1950s in San Francisco, Last Night at the Telegraph Club is not just one of the year’s best, but one of Lo’s best. O: The Oprah Magazine notes that the novel is “proof of Lo’s skill at creating darkly romantic tales of love in the face of danger.”
“¡Hola Papi!” by John Paul Brammer

In his memoir, ¡H ola Papi!: How to Come Out in a Walmart Parking Lot and Other Life Lessons , advice columnist John Paul Brammer delves into his experiences growing up as a queer, biracial person. The Los Angeles Times writes that “Brammer’s writing is incredibly funny, kind, and gracious to his readers, and deeply vulnerable in a way that makes it feel as if he’s talking to only you” — and we couldn’t agree more.
“Honey Girl” by Morgan Rogers

In Morgan Rogers’ novel Honey Girl , Grace Porter is an overachiever — and certainly not the type of person to marry a stranger in Las Vegas. Or, at least, she didn’t think she was that type of person. As Grace navigates the messiness of adulthood, Rogers takes us on a journey that’s both heartfelt and unflinching, illustrating that love is all about risks — even when it comes to loving ourselves.
“Aftershocks: A Memoir” by Nadia Owusu

Nadia Owusu’s memoir, Aftershocks , reflects on her experience of being abandoned by her parents at a young age. Entertainment Weekly notes that “Owusu dispatches all of this heartache with blistering honesty but does so with prose light enough that it never feels too much to bear.”
“Klara and the Sun” by Kazuo Ishiguro

What if an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant had feelings? In Kazuo Ishiguro’s latest novel, Klara and the Sun , Klara is an Artificial Friend who wonders if friendship is possible. The Financial Times called the Never Let Me Go author’s latest “a deft dystopian fable about the innocence of a robot that asks big questions about existence.”
“100 Boyfriends” by Brontez Purnell

Brontez Purnell’s romantic, intoxicating book, 100 Boyfriends , is a look at the romantic lives of queer men who are striving to find out not just where they belong, but where they can shine. Author Bryan Washington praised the collection, writing that “Each story in 100 Boyfriends is a minor eclipse: stunning in scope, technically blinding, and entirely miraculous.”
“One Last Stop” by Casey McQuiston

In Casey McQuiston’s big-hearted romance novel, One Last Stop , August meets Jane on a New York City subway — but she doesn’t realize just how fateful their chance encounter is at first. New York Magazine called the novel “an earnest reminder that home — whether that means a time, a place, or a person — is worth fighting for,” and we wouldn’t expect anything less from the Red, White & Royal Blue author.
“Afterparties: Stories” by Anthony Veasna So

In Afterparties , Anthony Veasna So weaves together tenderhearted stories about the lives of several Cambodian American characters. Although the stories vary quite a bit in terms of content, author George Saunders writes that they are all “powered by So’s skill with the telling detail,” and are much like “…beams of wry, affectionate light, falling from different directions on a complicated, struggling, beloved American community.”
“Malibu Rising” by Taylor Jenkins Reid

In Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel Malibu Rising , readers meet four famous siblings as they throw their annual end-of-summer party in Malibu. However, over the course of 24 hours, family drama ensues. The Washington Post calls this read “a fast-paced, engaging novel that smoothly transports readers.”
“Let Me Tell You What I Mean” by Joan Didion

Between 1968 and 2000, award-winning journalist and essayist Joan Didion wrote 12 pieces about a variety of well-known figures, ranging from Ernest Hemingway and Nancy Reagan to Martha Stewart. Now, these works have been gathered in the essay collection Let Me Tell You What I Mean . Bret Easton Ellis writes that Didion’s “prose remains peerless,” so, if you’re a fan of the iconic writer, this is a must-read.
“Intimacies” by Katie Kitamura

Intimacies is Katie Kitamura’s fourth novel, following 2017’s critically acclaimed A Separation . In it, an interpreter for the International Court at the Hague gets drawn into a political scandal after agreeing to translate for a former world leader and potential criminal. The novel is a fascinating investigation into the instability of language and how it influences identity. Dana Spiotta describes Intimacies as “a haunting, precise, and morally astute novel that reads like a psychological thriller.”
“Detransition, Baby” by Torrey Peters

In Detransition, Baby , Torrey Peters tells a witty and nuanced story about partnership, parenthood and identity. About the novel, Ginny Hogan from the New York Times states “[Detransition, Baby upends] our traditional, gendered notions of what parenthood can look like.”
“Second Place” by Rachel Cusk

In Rachel Cusk’s novel Second Place , a follow up to her brilliant Outline trilogy, a woman invites an artist she admires to live in her remote guesthouse for the summer. As the stay unfolds, a series of unexpected events spurs revelations about womanhood, marriage and security. About Second Place , Jenny Singer from Glamour writes “there is mayhem; surprising sweetness and brilliant observations tumble from every page.”
“Sellout: The Major-Label Feeding Frenzy That Swept Punk, Emo, and Hardcore ” by Dan Ozzi

In Sellout: The Major-Label Feeding Frenzy That Swept Punk, Emo, and Hardcore , rock critic Dan Ozzi traces the stories of eleven separate bands that transitioned from the indie scene to achieve mainstream success in the ‘90s. Including interviews and anecdotes from bands like Green Day, Jimmy Eat World and Blink-182, this is a must-read for any music lover.

Having a free audiobook in the car for when you run errands, on your phone when you're traveling, or on your computer to enjoy while you work, can keep you sane and add some fun and interest to your day.
These websites offer full-length, completely free audiobooks for you to download and listen to whenever you want. Unlike most sites with "free" audiobooks, these sources are 100% legal, either because they're public domain or because the websites have permission from the author.
Looking for more free books in other formats? Download free Kindle books , free books for kids , or free Nook books , and learn more about how to get free e-books .
Listen to specific chapters without having to download all of them.
Several ways to find a specific title.
Receive new audiobooks by podcast.
Available in many languages.
Works on mobile devices.
Can't sort by most popular.
LibriVox has a huge selection of free audiobooks that are recordings of volunteers who have read chapters from books that are in the public domain.
You can find one by searching by title, author, genre/subject, or language. You can also browse all the titles in the catalog, view only the most additions, and subscribe to new releases as podcasts.
Once you reach a book's description page, you can read more about it and even listen to the chapters individually without having to download each of them.
However, if you do want to download the whole audiobook, every chapter included, you can do so in a ZIP file, directly from LibriVox. Some are also available through a torrent and M4B file.
Most of the time, books download as MP3 files (or sometimes WMA or AAC files) that can play on your computer, tablet, phone, iPod, or MP3 player. There are free audio converter software programs you can use if you need the audiobook to be in a different file format.
These books are also available through a mobile app for iOS and Android, so you can download them to your phone or tablet, or stream them on the go.
Lets you borrow audiobooks free from your local library.
Works with tens of thousands of libraries.
You can listen from a computer or the mobile app.
Includes free audiobooks samples.
Must have a library card from a supported library.
If your local library has a subscription to OverDrive (check OverDrive's library finder to find out), then this is a great place to find over 300,000 free audiobook downloads of recent fiction and non-fiction books, including bestsellers.
You'll check these out just like you would a library book, and they'll be returned at the end of the loan period. You can even do it all from the Libby mobile app for iOS and Android.
One thing we can't pass up mentioning is how easy searching for audiobooks can be here. Not only are you able to sort the list by popularity and release date, filters let you ensure that it's just the audiobooks (not e-books) that you see, and they can be in a specific language and/or by a particular publisher or creator.
Internet Archive
Has thousands of audiobooks.
Several sorting options for finding the perfect audiobook.
Lets you filter the audiobook downloads by certain criteria.
Usually multiple audio format options when downloading.
Can be downloaded in bulk or by individual chapter.
Many audiobooks are poorly named and hard to recognize at first glance.
There aren't many non-English audiobook downloads.
The Internet Archive also has a ton of free audiobook downloads that you can browse through by subject, keywords, or using the search box.
Our favorite way to find books here is by sorting by view count to find the most popular ones. Some of those include The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Jane Eyre, The Swiss Family Robinson, Moby Dick, The Art of War, and Dracula .
Some are available in multiple formats so that you can download the book in MP3 or OGG format, for example.
The MindWebs page is one part of the Internet Archive that has several dozen classic sci-fi audiobooks.
Loyal Books
Multiple language options.
Makes finding the top 100 audiobooks easy.
Audiobooks are organized in several genres.
Thousands of choices.
Few sorting options.
It's easy to use Loyal Books (previously called Books Should Be Free ) to download free audiobooks. You can view the audiobooks by the language, the Loyal Books top 100 , and by genre like Children , Fiction , Fantasy , Mystery , and more than a dozen others.
You can listen to these books on their website, download MP3s of the chapters altogether at once in one ZIP file, download the whole audiobook in one M4B file for iPhones and iPods, save specific chapters only, and even get the book through an RSS reader. There's also a Loyal Books mobile app for iOS and Android.
These are public domain books, so you might not see anything here that differs from the other public domain audiobook websites we've already mentioned.
Great for kids.
Includes text with the audiobook.
New audiobooks are released often.
Very limited compared to most other audiobook websites.
If you are looking for free audiobooks for kids, then Storynory should be your first stop.
The selection includes original stories, fairy tales, classic stories, educational books, and some small stories for the very little ones.
You can download audiobooks here, stream them directly from the website, or use Apple Podcasts to listen to the Storynory podcasts . There's also an app for iOS devices, but it's not free.
Digitalbook.io
Audiobooks can be launched as podcasts in iTunes.
Several ways to locate a new free audiobook.
Includes lots of well-known titles and lesser-known ones.
Several languages and categories to choose from.
Has a lot more ebooks than audiobooks.
Digitalbook.io (previously known as Librophile) is another directory that makes it easy to find public domain audiobook downloads. You can download the whole audiobook or play it through iTunes.
Browse by trending or popular audiobooks to find one you might like, or look through the list of genres, authors, or languages.
There are over 100,000 items at Digitalbook.io, and while some are audiobooks, others are regular eBooks.
There's a huge selection.
Get two audiobooks completely free.
They're yours to keep forever.
Listen from a mobile device or computer.
The trial period is only for one month.
Limited to two downloads.
Must pay after the trial to keep downloading audiobooks.
Audible has a 30-day free trial going, which means that you can download any audiobook of your choice, plus any two Audible originals, for free during that time.
Audible has a great selection of audiobooks, and you'll be able to find just about any title you're looking for, including bestsellers and new releases.
After the 30-day trial, you can get one book each month for $14.95 /month, no matter the price of the book.
Open Culture
Hundreds of free audiobooks.
Audiobooks are listed in alphabetical order for easy reading.
Can't sort or filter the list of audiobooks.
No option to search through the list.
Some are only streams, not downloads.
Open Culture has 1,000 fiction, non-fiction, and poetry audiobooks you can download for free. Just scroll down the alphabetized list to browse through everything they have to offer.
These audiobook downloads are located on a variety of other websites, too, so some of them may be direct links to the MP3 while others might be streamed from its download page but not available for download.
Besides free audiobooks, this site also has free online movies, courses, language lessons, and eBooks.
Light Up Your Brain
Audiobooks are geared toward kids.
A text version is available below each audiobook.
Most audiobooks are under 10 minutes.
Unhelpful if you're looking for adult books.
Site is overloaded with ads an odd formatting.
Light Up Your Brain has several clearly read, short, free audiobooks that are just for kids. Stream them or download the audiobooks to your computer.
A transcription of the story is provided as well so that beginning readers can read along with the audio.
There are also some free games for kids here that are all made to challenge their minds and keep their brains active.
Google Play
Two simple genres.
Great for existing Google Play Books users.
M4A exporting is an option.
Very small collection.
If you like to keep your book collection in your Google account to read in the Google Play Books app, you'll enjoy the free options offered to you.
Visit the link below, and then scroll down to the Free in fiction or Free in nonfiction section to see the free audiobooks Google offers. There aren't many, but they are totally free and legal, and will be added to your account in just a few moments.
Listen to these audiobooks through the Google Play Books website or with the app for Android or iOS. If you use the website, you can export an audiobook to M4A to play it elsewhere.
Free Classic Audio Books
Some audiobooks are available in multiple audio formats.
Perfect place for classic audiobooks.
You can download individual chapters as well as whole books.
Not as many audiobooks as similar websites.
Website isn't fun or easy to use because there aren't graphics.
Lots of website ads.
Several broken links.

Much like OverDrive, detailed at the top of this list, hoopla has over 100,000 free audiobook downloads, but only if you have a library card at a supporting library.
When searching through the tens of thousands of free audiobooks here, you can filter the results by user rating, release date, date added, and language. There's also a Children's Titles Only toggle to show just kid-friendly audiobook downloads.
Browse hoopla's most popular audiobooks , or dig through hoopla's trending audiobooks page , if you're not sure where to start. There are also genres you can browse through.
These audiobooks can be streamed from your computer or on various devices.
Project Gutenberg
Provides a massive source of free downloads.
Supports lots of languages.
Lets you save audiobook chapters individually or download the entire book.
Some audiobooks are read by a computer, and so aren't as fluid or easy to listen to.
Most chapters don't have descriptive titles.
Project Gutenberg has audiobooks that are human-read and some that are computer-generated. These are public domain books that have been turned into audiobooks that are now available for free for anyone who's interested.
The easiest way to find a book here is to browse those links above or search for something by title, author, subject, and/or language.
There are several formats to download the book in, and you can save it to your computer or an online storage site like Dropbox.

ThoughtAudio
Provides PDF transcripts of the audiobooks.
Includes classic audiobooks.
Lets you stream directly from the website.
Must download each chapter individually; no bulk download option.
No obvious download button.
Some are videos that are harder to download.
Very small collection with infrequent updates.
ThoughtAudio has classic works of literature and philosophy books available for download as free audiobooks. You can browse the whole list or search for books, as well as see them in order of those that were recently added to the collection.
To get these audiobooks, you have to either listen to them on the website or download them in installments by right-clicking each part that you want to save.
PDF transcripts for these audiobooks are also available for download.
Provides audiobooks that normally cost.
Lets you filter the audiobooks results by language.
Lots of filtering options for styles, character info, etc.
Most audiobooks are not free.
Difficult to find just the free audiobooks.
Must sign in to download books.
Scribl is a very different audiobook website because while there are some free audiobooks, most of them come at a cost. It's really a hit-or-miss type of situation when you look for free audio eBooks here.
However, we've included it here because you might find unique books that aren't free anywhere else. Just make sure to grab them quickly because as books get more popular, Scribl's CrowdPricing model puts a price on them.
Because Scribl has other things, too, like eBooks and podcasts, you want to make sure to filter the results to only show audiobooks. All audiobooks automatically come with the eBook at no cost.
There are several ways to filter the results to show only the books you're interested in listening to. For example, maybe you're only interested in space-themed English books set in the late 1900s that have a female main character. Set those filters and see what shows up!
There are mobile apps if you want to listen from your phone.
Once its own audiobook site, Podiobooks.com is part of Scribl .
AudioFile SYNC
Encourages kids to keep reading in the summer.
Gives away two audiobooks every week in the summer.
You can sign up for alerts to know when new audiobooks are available.
Audiobooks aren't available all year long.
Limits your audiobook downloads to two per week.
SYNC returns April 27, 2023.
Audiobook SYNC is a free summer reading program meant for kids 13 and older, but anyone can take part in it to get free audiobook downloads.
Two free audiobooks are given away every week over the summer. It's a perfect way for kids to keep their comprehension skills sharp before returning to school, but also provides a way for adults to grab some free audio eBooks.
You can sign up for email alerts to get reminded when SYNC releases new titles. The books are usable through Overdrive's Sora app .
There are lots of other websites that offer free audiobooks that you can download through torrent websites. However, you should know that while that method of sharing books (or anything, like music and movies) may seem completely fine, it's normally illegal in most countries and is typically considered an unsafe method for sharing files since it's a common way to transmit malware.

When it comes to audiobooks, some big-name subscription-based services may appear in your mind for the first time, such as Amazon Audible, Rakuten OverDrive, Scribd, etc. Despite the fact that most of those services provide xx-day free trial to explore, listen and access a large library of resources, the audiobooks will be saved in different DRM-protected audio formats, which can only be opened in exclusive players. Actually, apart from those paid services, you're able to download free audio book MP3s from a wide array of neglected websites. To save your energy and time, after the time-consuming investigation, I have compiled a curated list of 18 best sites below for free audiobook MP3 downloads.

Website: https://www.openculture.com/freeaudiobooks
To be honest, Open Culture is more like an audiobook archive website than it is a free audiobook download site. On this webpage, you'll find hundreds of free audiobooks of fiction, poetry and non-fiction that link to different resources, such as iTunes, Soundcloud, YouTube, Spotify, Audible and other public domain sites. It also provides free MP3 streams and MP3 zip file downloads. Just scroll down the alphabetized list or use " Ctrl + F " to find your interested audiobooks.
Website: http://www.loyalbooks.com/
Loyal Books (formerly known as Books Should Be Free) claims to provide 7000+ free audio books & eBook downloads. These audiobooks can be filtered by 50 genres and 29 languages, and all audiobook covers are neatly arranged on the right side. Click on each title to learn the brief introduction. You're allowed to download separate chapters or a zip file that contains all MP3 audiobooks. Additionally, you can even read reviews, rate and submit your ideas on the bottom of each title page.
Website: https://librivox.org/
Librivox is a non-commercial, non-profit and ad-free project that donates its recordings to the public domain. LibriVox audiobooks are read by volunteers from all over the world, and are free for anyone to listen to and download. You can navigate this website by author, title, genre or language, and even submit an advanced search in the top-right corner of the website. Enter each title's description page, you're able to download each chapter or a whole audiobook in ZIP package. If interested, volunteer to read and record chapters of books.
Website: https://www.digitalbook.io/
Digital Book (formerly known as Librophile) is a terrific place to access thousands of free public domain audiobooks, eBooks and podcasts online from a range of online libraries covering all genres. The website is impressive owing to the clean and user-friendly interface. Explore your desired audiobook by trending, top-rated or genres. An overlaid window will pop up after clicking on each title, where you can learn the book description, stream/download free MP3 audiobooks, open as podcast or add to bookshelf.
Website: https://scribl.com/browse?page=1&bf=podcasts&ac=0
Scribl doesn't seem to be a good option for free audiobook MP3 downloads, despite the fair prices, most audiobooks come at a cost. The reason why I added it into the list is that Scribl provides plenty of podcasts for free streaming and downloading, but it requires a free account as a premise. Open the above link and click on "Listen" button underneath each title to learn the synopsis. If you have logged in, scroll down the page and you're allowed to stream podcast audiobooks chapter by chapter. Click the three-dot icon to download free audiobooks in MP3. Unfortunately, there is no option to download the whole audiobook.
Website: https://archive.org/details/audio_bookspoetry and https://archive.org/details/podcasts
Without further introduction, Internet Archive is a non-profit digital library offering universal access to free audiobook MP3 downloads. You may have noticed that this library of audiobooks features digital recordings and MP3's from multiple websites like LibriVox, Project Gutenberg, Internet Archive users, etc. It offers multiple sorting options on the left side to help you locate your interested audiobooks, even better, the audiobook can be downloaded in multiple audio formats by individual chapters or a whole ZIP file.
Website: http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/categories/1 and http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/categories/2
Project Gutenberg, which aims to encourage the creation and distribution of eBooks, is also a pretty good website to find free downloadable MP3 audiobooks. You're able to search and browse eBooks by author, title, subject, language, type, popularity, and even the full text search. This site provides both human-read and computer-generated audiobooks, but IMHO, I don't think you guys will like the robot voices. It is worth mentioning that you can save chapters individually or download the entire audiobook, and there are even M4A, M4B , OGG, SPX formats available for some audiobooks.
Website: https://www.storynory.com/
Unlike other comprehensive websites, Storynory is geared towards kids only, with a mix of classics, fairy tales, myths & world stories, educational books and original stories. Go to each story, simply click on the download button below the audio player to download free audio book MP3. Besides, a text version is also available for each story.
Website: https://lightupyourbrain.com/stories/
Similar to Storynory, Light Up Your Brain also provides free audio stories for children. Although there are only a limited number of stories, they are downloadable MP3 audiobooks that can play on virtually any audio device without network connection. Likewise, in addition to the download button, it still lists the text version below each audiobook.
Website: https://miettecast.com/
As its name implies, this website focuses on short bedtime stories. You don't need to open a post to take further action, it's convenient to stream and download audiobook on the homepage. Unfortunately, it has been no longer updated since 2016, but if you're a newcomer to this website, these amazing bedtime stories may strike a chord with you. Sweet dreams!
Website: http://thoughtaudio.com/
Thought Audio offers a selection of classic literature and philosophy titles as audiobooks and PDFs for free downloads. There is a title list arranged with book covers on the homepage. Click a title to explore more information, and you're able to stream the audio online. Or right-click on the audio track name and select "Save link as" for free audiobook MP3 download. There is also a PDF transcript provided right there. However, you have to download each chapter individually as there is no a ZIP file available.
Website: https://freeclassicaudiobooks.com/
Its name has explained everything, Free Classic AudioBooks is a good place to download classic audiobooks in MP3 and M4A formats . You can navigate this website by Authors Last Name and Most Popular Downloads. Not every title provides online streaming, click on the media icon to open download page. You're allowed to download separate chapters as well as the whole books in a ZIP file. BTW, if you haven't installed ADBlocker, the annoying ADs will appear on both sides.
Website: https://www.learnoutloud.com/Free-Audiobooks
Learn Out Loud has a selection of over 50,000 educational and inspirational audio books, MP3 downloads, podcasts, and videos. You can browse audiobooks by categories like Biography, Literature, Philosophy, Arts & Entertainment, etc. And the free audiobooks are sorted by author's name, most popular, release date, alphabetical or random sort. Mark " Audio Download " option on the right side so that it will list all titles which allow you to download free MP3 audiobooks. However, in most cases, some audiobooks are free with Audible Trial or need an account to download.
Website: https://etc.usf.edu/lit2go/

It's a teacher-friendly website for free audiobook downloads.
Website: http://www.audiobooktreasury.com/
Audiobook Treasury claims to recommend the best audiobooks for sale & for free. To download free audio book MP3, directly go to " Latest Free Audiobooks " and " Free Audio Books " sections on the navigation bar. Open a title, you'll see an audio player for online streaming and a download option to save the audiobook.
Website: http://www.newfiction.com/
New Fiction has awesome library of audiobooks that are officially described as " modern-day radio dramas ". The recordings are performed by multiple actors with different BGM, and you would be interested in the novel performance. Most interestingly, each chapter has a cover, and the cover will change when you switch to the next chapter, just like a slideshow. Although there are only several works, all of them are free to be streamed online and downloaded in MP3s chapter by chapter.
Website: https://literalsystems.org/abooks/index-php/site/titles.html
This is the last website for free audiobook MP3 downloads. Honestly, the site looks very outdated and only a very limited number of audio book titles are available on this page. To save MP3 files directly to your computer, open a title, right-click the audio track and choose " Save Link As... " or " Save Target As... " option.
More Than a Free YouTube Downloader

Moreover, this freeware also provides the basic editing features for you to split, trim and merge audio files with ease. Everything is self-explanatory.
Final Words...

1000 New Free Audio Book from LibriVox Along with it being our fifth anniversary, we have also reached out 1000th Free Resource of the Day Email . LibriVox.org is a great site which brings together volunteers to read books in the public domain that they then offer as free audio book downloads on MP3. The last time we added titles from LibriVox was over two years ago and since then they have grown enormously with over 2500 titles now available . We sifted through all their audio books and picked out the best titles based on literary merit, quality of narration, and how interesting they sounded. The narrators and recording quality have definitely improved with great new readers like Cori Samuel and Mike Vendetti . For many of the major classics they have multiple versions now so we've chosen what sounds like the best edition. We've also added the podcast feeds of the all audio books so you can listen to and download them all through our site. To download zips, subscribe through iTunes, get the eBooks, see chapter headings, and more click on the links over to LibriVox. Before you dive in please note that LibriVox is calling for donations to help them with the operating costs of their site so please do if you're able to.
